South Shore Centre for the Arts is the home of the South Shore Dance Alliance, NW Indiana's premiere pre-professional dance company, and the Centre offers many dance classes for ages four and up.

Adult and children's classes are 1-hour classes. Cost is $10 per class or purchase a ten-class card for $90. 

Children's Dance Classes

South Shore Centre for the Arts is the right choice for beginning or continuing your child's dance training. South Shore Dance Alliance (SSDA) instructors focus on introducing children to sound technique in ballet and movement (ages 4-7), energetic "Kids Hip Hop" classes, and continuing on with excellent beginning classes in ballet, jazz/funk, hip hop, and tap (ages 8 and above).

The focus at the Centre is to help children develop a true passion for dance, learn discipline and skills that extend beyond the dance studio, and to provide real performance opportunities– not expensive costumes and "recitals". Dance at SSDA is about learning and loving the art, and always about realizing the pure joy that dance can bring to dancer and audience!
